Canadian Psychological Association (CPA). A Canadian society for all psychological researchers and clinicians.

Canadian Society for Brain, Behaviour, and Cognitive Science (CSBBCS). A Canadian society for psychologists and neuroscientists.

American Psychological Association (APA). The well-known American society that publishes a large number of high-profile academic journals on Psychology. Also the producers of the APA Style Guide.

Association for Psychological Science (APS). To the APA as CSBBCS is to the CPA: A society for psychologists whose primary interests lie in research.

Psychonomic Society. This society's primary purpose is publication; they have some good quality publications to give you a flavour of the psychological literature. Most are free three UBC Library E-journals.

Society for Neuroscience (SFN). For those with neuroscience interests, here is a link to the largest international neuroscience society.

Russ Dewey's PsychWeb. A really good collection of links to Psychology resources on the web.

PsycINFO. The primary research article database within the field of Psychology.

MEDLINE. The primary research article database for the biomedical community. This database also includes some, but not all, of the articles that are present in PsycINFO.

PubMed. The public version of Medline (you can access this from anywhere).
